I’m Cherish, a Learning and Career Development Specialist, with over a decade worth of experience, helping people untangle the knots of their work life. With formal qualifications in human resources, organisational development and positive psychology, I love what I do and I help others to find that feeling too. This is my corner of the internet where I write about learning and career development.
After helping hundreds of people to navigate their work life, I have never met a person who has successfully been able to apply the, “I leave my personal life at the door” philosophy.
Our work lives are part of the dimension that make us who we are. It doesn’t always mean it needs to be the epicentre of your life, but it fills up a big chunk of your time and mental energy, so you owe it to yourself to make the most of that domain, in whatever shape or form that comes in. I have a deep interest in the psychology, career development and learning, which informs my approach for tackling the work/life conundrum.
In addition to my private professional career, I work one on one with individuals to align their work/life relationship, including: changing career directions; developing meaningful goals; developing workable action plans; and, improving interpersonal skills and self awareness.
While there might be lots of people who work in this space, the qualifications do vary, and you should always do your due diligence to understand how specialists in this area inform their coaching practise. Supporting my professional experience I have formal education in the following areas:
- Master of Human Resources and Organisational Development, Southern Cross University
- Professional Certificate of Positive Psychology, University of Melbourne
- Bachelor of Business, Human Resource Management, Southern Cross University
- Accredited Human Synergistics Practitioner (LSI / GSI) Life Styles Inventory / Group Styles Inventory
Currently completing a Bachelor of Psychological Science, Swinburne University

The disclaimer…I have a day job leading a team and doing something I really enjoy. It goes without saying (but I’ll say it anyway) that’s the views expressed and the products shared are my own and not the views of my employer.
